What's happening this week. The neural tube — the beginning of the brain and spinal cord — is closing along the baby's back, and a tiny heart tube is forming that may already be twitching.

What your partner can do this week: If tiredness or nausea is hitting, quietly take on more of the cooking, shopping and cleaning — without being asked. Pair your phones so the week, the tasks and the appointments are the same on both. Agree how you'll keep the news between you at work and with family until you're both ready.
