What's happening this week. The kidneys are fully developed and the liver is processing waste. Most of what happens from here is weight, and somersaults are becoming impossible.

Kidneys fully developed. Mostly gaining weight now. Running out of room to turn.

Brain weight increases by around a third between now and week 39.

What your partner can do this week: Finish the flat-pack jobs — cot, changing space, storage. Keep the car fuelled or charged, and find out where to park at the hospital. Handle the "any news?" messages so your partner doesn't have to.
